A fire engine parked at the station entrance with hoses, cones, and building details around it.

A squat crash-rescue truck with a roof-mounted water-cannon turret, a rounded fuselage-shaped tank body, and six oversized off-road tires built for airfield runways.
The first Firetruck page shows a ladder truck in a front three-quarter view with a clear grille and cab, and the Ladder Fire Engine is a long side view with large wheels, equipment doors and an extended ladder arm.
A second side view adds a hose panel, a roof ladder and a warning light. The Tiller Firetruck stretches out on several axles with its ladder raised. Two scenes put the truck in place: a ladder truck parked on a street with a hydrant, cones and houses behind it, and a fire engine at a station entrance with hoses and cones. The Airport Rescue Fire Truck is a squat crash-rescue rig with a roof-mounted water cannon, a rounded tank body and six oversized off-road tires.
The first three trucks are clear and bold for ages 3 to 5. The tiller and the airport truck have more axles and equipment for ages 6 and up. Red does most of the work, with silver for the ladders and yellow for the lights.
A tiller ladder truck has two drivers: one up front and one steering the rear wheels from the back. That lets a very long truck turn tight corners, as the Tiller Firetruck shows.
An engine carries hoses, a pump and water. A ladder truck carries the tall ladder for reaching roofs and upper floors.
Red became the traditional color, and it's easy to see on the road. Some departments now use lime-yellow because it's even easier to spot.
It's built to reach a plane fast and carry lots of water and foam for fuel fires. The Airport Rescue Fire Truck looks wide and low to handle runways.
Some stations still have poles so firefighters can get from the sleeping area to the trucks quickly. The Fire Station with Firetrucks shows the bays where the trucks wait.
